Synopsis:
A feature-length documentary film following a priest of the Ethiopian Orthodox Church on a pilgrimage from the holy town of Lalibela in the Ethiopian highlands to the Church of the Holy Sepulchre in Jerusalem.

Cloudburst is looking to raise $250,000 to make this film which aspires to enhance understanding between different faiths and denominations at a time of inter-religious tension. Summary:
Ethiopia is one of the oldest Christian countries in the world. Centuries before Christianity became the established religion in much of Europe, and for more than 1,000 years before Columbus brought Christianity to the Americas, Ethiopia was a thriving Christian nation. As early as the 4th century AD, Ethiopian pilgrims were making the journey to Jerusalem. There was even a saying in Egypt: 'no injury must be done them, lest the river Nile should be stopped'...

Nationality: British

Philip was educated at Eton and Durham University. He then attended the British Army's officer training academy at Sandhurst, and spent three years serving as a cavalry officer in the UK, Canada, Oman, and Argentina. Upon leaving the Army in 2000 with the rank of Captain, Philip entered the media world, training at CBS News, CNN and APTN in London, and at the Edit Centre in New York. He formed Cloudburst Media in 2002 and since then has filmed around the world including the following countries: Burundi, Democratic Republic of Congo, the Republic of Congo, Ethiopia, Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, Rwanda, South Africa, Sudan, Uganda, Pakistan, India, China, Panama, Honduras and the USA. Philip has recently completed his latest documentary "Buying Time For Peace" about the unique role of the MDRP in demobilizing and reintegrating ex-combatants in the Great Lakes Region of Central Africa.
